0:36.7	She lives in an ivory tower. They are up in an ivory tower. An ivory tower,
0:45.8	you have to think back to a castle, a European castle from a long, long time ago. And of course,

0:59.5	valuable, so expensive. They have so much money that it's made of ivory. Do you know what ivory is? I-V-O-R-Y.
1:11.3	Ivory is actually from, usually from an elephant, but it could be from other animals too.
1:18.2	But the ivory tower, it's not necessarily made of ivory, but it's a very, it's a place for rich people, for rich and powerful people.
1:29.5	If you go into a rich or powerful person's home, you will see maybe ivory decorations.
1:38.0	There will be ivory somewhere in the house.
1:40.7	Ivory is very expensive now in 2022.
1:44.1	Ivory is even more expensive because it's illegal.
1:47.4	You can't create new ivory as far as I know. I'm not exactly sure. But anyway, ivory from
1:53.4	elephants. Ooh, yeah, that's a dangerous issue. But anyway, the old rich people had it. And where did they keep it in their houses?
2:04.8	And we call their really rich, opulent houses so different from the poor people. We call them
2:12.4	ivory towers. So this expression has come to mean people who are rich, who have lots of money,
2:21.2	who are very distant from regular people, especially from poor people, but even middle class
