Hi, this Alonzo Bowden. I want to welcome you to episode 105 of my podcast, who's paying attention.

Tonight was a pretty landmark night in television. It was the last broadcast of David Letterman. Like everyone else, I got to say

congrats. It was a hell of a run, 33 years. I never got on the show, but I don't hold that

against them. I personally loved the NBC show more than the CBS show because it was a bit more irreverent,

but it was a good wrap-up. There's no way to wrap up 33 years in one night, but he had

some great segments, stars doing top 10 things they wish they'd said to Dave and on and on and I love the props he gave to

Paul Schaefer and the band and the music over the years and all it was a good show as these wrap-up shows go as these retirement shows go

It was a good show. It was a great job

Letterman looked like he had fun and what more could you want than that.

So that being said, I'm happy for him. Good luck. God bless. Godspeed, I guess. I don't know what to say to a retired David Letterman, but I don't have to worry about it because I won't be meeting him.

So getting into the news, man, there's been some things since we've last talked, but I have

to talk about Waco. I have to talk about, and I'm sorry to laugh, but this shootout in Waco, if you don't know what I'm talking about,

Sunday afternoon in Waco, Texas, at a place called Twin Peaks, which is a version of Hooters,

and I think you can guess what the Twin Peaks are at that restaurant, they have biker nights.

And the police had been telling them to stop

having biker nights because rival biker gangs were showing up and the police knew something

was going to jump off. And when I say the police knew something was going to jump off, I mean,

not only was there a police presence there, there was actually a swap team presence on site. Now, you know, you know it's

going to be a bad Sunday brunch when there's a SWAT team in the parking lot. So I'm not even sure

why innocent families and people not involved in biker gangs were there, but they were. Fortunately,

none of them got hurt lots of bullets fired nine

people killed all members of biker gangs and let's get this biker thing straight for those who don't
