The punishment of evil is one of the very chief purposes for which God has established the good

gift of government. And when the government fails to follow that purpose, it loses terror on communities.

I mean, just think of the repeat offenders, evil judges, and yes, I use that word intentionally

evil judges, send back into the communities to continue their reigns of terror.

The Word of the Lord endures forever is a daily verse-by-verse Bible study with the church,

past and present.

Pastor Whedon is leading us in a study of the book of Proverbs, chapters 11 through 20.

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. Amen.

Greetings, people loved by God. So in our last study, we were in the middle section of Proverbs

20, and we continue to encounter the recurring themes that wind their way through that book.

First, we learned how a child betrays his or her character rather early in life.

I mentioned especially our delightful little Magda at our church, and how the love of Jesus

just shines from her face.

We had a reminder again about the Lord being the source of sight and sound and the organs
