live bill change I'm Carrie Green and we have been walking through Psalm chapter 40 in the days prior to this and today we come up to

verse 5 which is a very interesting perspectives let's say for a particular day.

Psalm chapter 40, verse number 5 says you have multiplied, oh Lord my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us. None can compare with you. I will

proclaim and tell of them, yet they are more than can be told.

Now it might be interesting to you to wonder how does a verse like this have to do with

our morning mindset?

Well it's interesting to me as I read the verse to see that this writer we believe it was

David, King David, is taking the time to pause and to recognize that God himself has abundantly blessed him.

And that's an important thing when it comes to our mindsets,

because oftentimes we can wake up of a morning and feel kind of down.

We can feel a little depressed or maybe discouraged by something that happened the evening before or in the weeks before. And sometimes, I mean we have to be

honest about this, we're going through a particularly hard season of life.

And in those situations it's pretty normal to wake up feeling a little down or under the weather.

And this verse makes me aware of the need that each of us has to take control of our

mindset and put it on the fact, not the hope, but the fact that God has done wondrous deeds toward us as his people.

And his thoughts toward us. Did you catch that in the verse? It says

you've multiplied your wondrous deeds and your thoughts

toward us. God's thoughts toward us are not only many but they are good they are

wondrous.

God himself does not look on us with an eye of disdain or suspicion.

Because in Jesus Christ, we have been made complete. We have been made entirely acceptable before God.
