Hello out there. Welcome to Dark Topic. I'm your host Jack Luna. This is Waking Up with Jack

0:07.2

Luna. A style of episode I haven't done since probably a year ago it seems July I think of 2022 and I'm doing it today because it's

0:18.2

this New Year's and I wanted to put out a more personal style episode I feel like I've drifted away from the public audience with all the other projects

0:27.3

I've been working on and a lot of the Patreon and Apple Plus stuff that I do.

0:31.2

I just wanted to put out a public episode and have a direct connective style app to

0:39.5

begin the year. My plans for Dark Topic as always are to pick up the pace in releases and you know do

0:48.7

more work and do better work. We all have the same hopes for ourselves. I think going into a new year to be better and to improve on all the things that we want to improve on and to get rid of a lot of the things that we want to get rid of.

That being said, I do have a tequila sunrise in front of me.

1:06.4

Tequila, Grand Marnier I think. Orange juice, some cherry syrup from Maricino cherries, and I have half a pack of cigarettes

1:18.5

that are left over.

1:19.3

So this is just the stuff that's left over from Christmas, and I figured, hey, maybe I'll dump this out

1:25.2

into my stomach and lungs to start the new year off and just get rid of it and

1:31.0

hopefully be rid of it for good.

1:33.2

We all know that that's a lie, I'm telling to myself,

1:36.4

but my intentions are good.

1:38.6

As were the intentions of everybody involved in this episode. This is an episode about bravery and a lot of it

1:47.8

doesn't end well but overall I mean these people were still brave and still should be remembered and have their stories told

1:56.4

any time they can be. So I kind of got on to the Carnegie Medal Award for Bravery over a fairly recent story where a pizza delivery

2:08.3

driver saw a house on fire and went in and saved the kids. From there I kind of went down the rabbit hole and as I was going

2:15.3

down this rabbit hole last night I said to myself you know what this would make a good

2:20.3

waking up with Jack Luna that, let's wake up tomorrow and

2:22.8

and pump this out. So it'll be a little
