Well, the world of Mark 5, beginning with verse 21, should be familiar to you.

It's the world where you live.

It's a world that has been dramatically broken by sin, where hard and

difficult things are a regular human experience. A father who is facing the death of his little girl. It's not supposed to happen.

Children are supposed to outlive their parents. And you can embrace the helplessness of this man as he's watching his little girl slip into death, and there's nothing he can do.

It's a world where people suffer physical things that are chronic, that destroy your life. You can't live around them.

They shape everything that you do and you face every day, like this woman with this issue of

blood. The best of human help has not been helpful.
