2 Peter 318.

In this month's grace and knowledge, Paul teaches that parenting and every relationship

is transformed when we remember our own need for God's

mercy and extend that same compassion to others. Here's this month's grace and knowledge.

In last month's Grace and Knowledge article, we considered the discouraging definition and location of marriage,

a flawed person married to a flawed person living in a fallen world, but with a faithful God.

Even for those who don't have a husband or a wife, the biblical principles still apply to any relationships on this side of

eternity. This month, I will continue along those same lines. Today's grace and knowledge will be about

parenting, but if you don't have kids, please don't stop listening. The right here, right now gospel

message applied to parenting still offers practical wisdom, not exclusively for moms and dads,

but for all of us in any human

relationship. In the paragraphs that follow, I'm going to make direct applications to parents and

their kids, so if you aren't raising children, simply substitute another person whom God is placed in your
