What are the papal limits on the liturgy? Do popes have the authority to change the mass and to what extent can popes modify the liturgy? It's a big question today and I'm with one of the most

eminent theologians, an exorcist, a Catholic priest, you all know him. This is Father Chad Rippager. He is a friend and he's someone that I look to and I have

questions and this is certainly a question that we've all had the people limits or the

limits of people authority over the liturgy.

Father Rippaker, how are you?

I'm not doing too badly.

Thanks for having me on again.

Before we get into liturgy and popes and all that, why do you love being a Catholic?

I think it's, it can be boiled down to two things. It's the beauty of the coherence of all the

truths of the church's teaching that have been passed on us through the tradition.

So if you just look at the tradition,

you see how beautiful the whole system fits together.

And then on the other side of it is too,

is just my own personal experience of living that life

does make you happier than when you don't.

So it's kind of like G.K. Chesterton said, if the Catholic religion wasn't true, we should be making it up because it's so beautiful.

Yeah, Jordan Peterson recently, or not recently in the last couple years said that Catholics are the sanest people on earth.

Yeah, well, you know, I'm sure you remember this.
