this case that is a true cruise ship nightmare.

A 41 year old man from Baltimore was traveling on the vision of the sea's Royal Caribbean

cruise ship when he fell overboard on Saturday, December 23rd.

The ship was about 127 miles east of Charleston, South Carolina when the incident happened.

The U.S. Coast Guard's air crew searched more than 1,600 square miles over the span of about eight days.

But unfortunately, the man was never found, and the search was called off on Christmas Eve.

A spokesperson for Royal Caribbean said, and I quote,
