Summary

Lisa started spiritually seeking in her early 20’s. She had her first awakening in 2005 after attending a talk given by Tony Parsons. After this, she spent some time in India with Ramesh Balsekar. It was there that she met her final teacher, Roger Castillo, who was also a student of Ramesh. She lived with him for three years in Australia during which time many falsehoods were seen through. In the beginning of 2011, Lisa’s awakening stabilized and the seeker fell away. Lisa now enjoys communicating the nature of Happiness to anyone desperate enough to know the truth. And Lisa lives in Australia, or at least has, for the last four years, although she's about to

0:39.3

wend her way to the UK via Asia and time to get there for summer.

0:47.3

And Lisa, I've done my homework on you, Lisa, I've listened to six or seven hours of your talks over the last week or so.

0:56.0

And I really enjoyed it.

0:58.0

It wasn't a chore by any means.

1:01.0

And of all the things you said, a lot of things, I mean, as you spoke, I kept thinking,

1:05.0

oh, I would have asked her this, I would have asked her that.

1:08.0

But there's one thing that really jumped out at me a few times,

1:11.6

and that is that you said several times, I'm offering a description, not a prescription.

1:18.2

And the reason that really jumped out at me is I must have said that 50 times during these

1:22.5

interviews. And the reason I say it so often is that I very often hear satsong teachers and so on doing just that, offering a description as a prescription.

1:35.6

Even though they may say it's not a prescription, they're not offering anything else.

1:40.3

And they're just sort of giving a description of their own experience and people are sitting

1:45.8

there listening to that and it's sort of like a guy standing on a mountaintop shouting down

1:50.2

to the people down below what the view is like.

1:55.7

And I think some people can, for some people that can be a trigger or an impetus to actually awaken,

2:03.2

but for many people it's not adequate. So what do you think about that? It's not adequate to,

2:13.0

just what do you mean by it's not adequate? Well, it's like just listening to somebody's

2:17.4

description. Yeah. They think, they, just what do you mean by it's not adequate? Well, it's like just listening to somebody's description,
