We have to confess

that often waiting for us

is a process of ever weakening faith.

We are in Exodus 12, 33 to 42.

I've entitled this Weight on the Lord, and I've slowed down in chapter 12 because it's so packed with wonderful, important content.

The Egyptians were urgent with the people to send them out of the

land in haste, for they said, we shall all be dead. So the people took their dough before it was leaven,

their kneading bowls being bound up in their cloaks on their shoulders. The people of Israel

had also done as Moses told them, for they had asked the Egyptians for their silver and gold and for clothing.

And the Lord had given the people favoring the sight of the Egyptians, so they let them

have what they ask.

Thus they plundered the Egyptians.

And the people of Israel journeyed from Ramseys to sucketh about 600,000 men on foot besides
