Prospect podcast. Today is September 2nd, about 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Tim and I just

finished a couple of hours ago recording our Take 10 with Tim on Friday. That podcast is already out.

I will probably release

this podcast early next week, which I will be on vacation. So I've stacked up a couple of podcasts for

your listening entertainment. Today's topic is Hot Prospects of the Month of August. And there

are a slew of them. And it was a lot of fun going through

this some famous guys some not famous guys I got 21 in total and without further do let me get

to it first we start off with AAA we go all the way through complex League and the DSL. I don't think I have

any DSL players. And then we do the same thing for pitchers. There will also probably be a hot

prospect of the month for September. I'll do a few weeks of hot prospects of the week.

But as probably all the way through at least until AA is done.

I'll do hot prospects of the week.

But after, I'm not going to do just hot prospects when it's his AAA.

I don't think that makes a whole lot of sense.

So anyway, without further ado, let me get started.

First guy is Josh Young, third base with the Texas Rangers and AAA, 24 years old.

He was 21 for 69, six home runs, a stolen base, 14 strikeouts and four walks.

And for the season, as you know, he got started late this season with shoulder surgery,

only 94 at bats, a 287 batting average, a 354 on base percentage, nine home runs,

a stolen base, 18% strikeout rate,
