I was thinking this is Somalia and there was no government here the nearest British

embassy is in Kenya 1500 miles away who and earth comes to help us here.

I've split today's episode into two separate parts for reasons that will become obvious

because I'll explain them now. Colin Freeman is a British journalist and author who was chief foreign correspondent for the Sunday Telegraph

until 2016. He mostly covered the Middle East and Africa and then one day he was kidnapped

by Somali pirates after his bodyguards double crossed him.

The very people who were supposed to protect him turned against him.

Well he'll go into the house and the wies. Anyway, he'll tell us what it was like as well,

what went through his mind the moment he realized he'd been captured. There's a lot more to the story

as we didn't have all that much time to chat. on top of what is mentioned by the very stoic Colin in today's episode.

He was also threatened with being handed over to Islamists who wanted to execute him.
