I wake to find the waters in a roar and know that by my father's hand they crash.

The reverie I have to take his staff and sink the sea within the earth is ower.

And so I weep, the salt tears fall once more.

This dream will die and dark will be the storm.

He asked me once if I remembered all, a time before we came unto this hell.

A taunt, a sneer across his lips, amid his lies he could not help but sprinkle truths.

The twisted barbs that cut my flesh and kept me bound. His sorcery, a curse upon us all. And rather like a dream it came,

the image of a ship, a craft of steel, that voyage not through waters cold and fierce,

but clipped the stars on silver wings. His voice was violence then. But how is it that this can live within thy mind?

And then, strange words did tumble forth.

Computer was the first, a bold command,

And on his face, I saw the first mistruth

In ten long years of secrecy and doubt.

He cried, and after that, the darkness fell, and when I woke, the day was new and all was lost.

I walk the sands and know, despite the storm, despite the boiling fury of the sea, that I am safe

among the darkened cove. And knowing this, I call the name in quiet now, and wait.

And lo, I feel the air electrify, as if some magic charge has swept the cove. Even the crashing waves are swept aside,

as from one thousand tiny pinpricks in the air, a voice bleeds out. All hail, Miranda! Princess
