It is 3.30 on August the 7th, and I'm here with my good friend, Mr. Tim McLeod,

and we're going to be doing our Waverwire podcast and talking games and talking,

whatever the heck we want to talk about. Tim, how are you doing?

I am doing just great. Tristan McKenzie. What more can you say after today? I didn't start him,

Timmy. You can't start anybody against the Astros, and I didn't start him, and I'm kicking myself.

Well, man, that was quite the performance.

So, you know, a two hitter against the Astros.

That's the, uh, the two hits were the first inning or the second inning.

And then he just, he just went on a roll.

So. Yeah.

It, uh, you made the, you made the right move.

Yeah, except I didn't get the win. Yeah, it was the right plan. It just didn't, it just didn't work out well, but. Yeah, it's, yeah, but he's, he's going to find his way into my top 25 if we get a few more starts like that. It's got an ERA, like close to three. He's, you know, he's pitching well, Timmy. And I mean, it's great secondary pitches. The fastball just has never exploded yet. But, you know, he's got that great curveball that nobody seems to be able to pick up. And when the Astros can't pick it up, you know, you got something. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, you got a good pitcher there.

So I'm happy for McKenzie and all those that have them rostered, especially today.

Alternatively, you know, it's funny because we had the big trade on Tuesday.

Timmy, I got so much great feedback.

You and I haven't had a chance to talk since then I've been babysitting my grandson, Timmy, with Lori. She's been doing most of the work, but I'm exhausted. You're exhausted from watching Lori do all the work, right? Watching her do the work, and I'm doing a little bit. It's just, it's, it's, it's tiring. So, oh, you know, we just get energy. It's beyond me. It's a young man's game, man. It's a young man's game. So, uh, so I, I, I watched the, uh, Dodgers. Oh, so we had the big trade on Tuesday. They got so much great feedback from our show to me. People loved it. I've got a personal email from Heldor, the cheese guy. Yeah, so he said he loved it. He's a great guy, good friend. He actually ended up taking my spot in a keeper league. It was my home league for years. We ended up taking my spot there, and we've kept in touch over the years. Good guy. Has he sent you, has he sent you any cheese? Uh, nope. I got no cheese from him either, Tim. Okay, well, you know, we'll have to start throwing some cheese his way. Exactly. But anyway, so, and obviously the big trade was Juan Soto to the Padres, and the Padres go against the Dodgers this weekend.

And I watched the game last night with Clevenger.

Timmy, he's a good pitcher.

He can't handle the Dodgers.
