Matthew chapter 22 verses 35 to 38

and one of them a lawyer asked Jesus a question to test him.

Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?

And Jesus said to him,

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul,

with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. This text could not be any clearer and it could not be any

more beautiful, more wonderful, that this is the primary command that God intends to govern our lives.

What is that command? It's to walk in a love relationship with him.

How awesome is that? I mean we're talking about the holy God of the universe from we have sinned against

if we deserve his wrath we deserve his judgment but this God loves us so much that he has sent his son to die on a cross

for us, that he has paid the price do our sin himself

that he has endured the judgment we deserve himself

he's made away for us to know him and not just to know him but to love him.

Not just to have a relationship with him marked by duty,

where we do this and do that, or do, like,

this is a relationship marked by delight the supreme command is love me with everything you have

which which is so important like this this verse would make no sense if

Said well you shall love the Lord your God with some of your heart and some of your soul and some of your mind no

This God the holy God of the universe who has saved us from our sins like he deserves all of our affection,

all of our heart, all of our soul, all of our mind given over to him.

So I would just ask you, even in your life right now, would you say your life is marked by love for God, affection for God, desire for God, delight in God.
