a protest situation yesterday where all these Trump supporters stormed the capital building in the US.

Honestly the last thing I wanted to do was start the year off with a podcast episode

about more angry US politics but here we go it's a big deal obviously

So yesterday you were obviously on the ground covering the you know this thing

where the the MAGA people stormed the capital building but before we get into what you actually saw there on the

ground maybe you can just explain to us how this happened why do they suddenly

turn up on January 6th why do do they decide to, you know, break into the

building? What happened? Yeah, so basically the idea and I've been to a couple of

these in the past and kind of seeing what they're about the main idea here is that the election against Joe Biden versus

Donald Trump which as you know Joe Biden definitely has appeared to win.

They believe very, very strongly that it was a stolen election,

that it was a fraudulent election, that like it was completely illegitimate,

that there was like the votes were counted incorrectly.
