Babe Paley. Barbara Cushing Mortimer Paley would be all of Babe's names, but Babe is the name that

sticks. Babe Paley was the style icon of her day. And after meeting Truman Capote,

one of his very, very best friends until Babe was not. So much in this episode before we begin today.
