| 0:11.0 | I was passing through a shopping area where there was some sort of shoe festival. |
| 0:14.4 | I found it as all kinds of festivals. |
| 0:16.2 | This was a shoe festival. |
| 0:17.8 | And simultaneously it was a shoe festival slash clearance sale. |
| 0:21.0 | Where a number of vendors were out selling shoes. |
| 0:23.8 | I was in Southeast Asia for a couple weeks and I liked several of the styles that I saw |
| 0:27.6 | at this shoe festival slash clearance sale. |
| 0:30.3 | And they were very affordable. |
| 0:31.5 | So I thought, well, I'll pick up a pair to take home. |
| 0:34.0 | But then a funny thing happened. |
| 0:35.8 | The first vendor I checked with didn't have my size and neither did the second or the |

| 0:40.3 | By the time I'd walked the length of the street, I discovered that they didn't have any |
| 0:43.1 | in my size, at least any that I liked. |
| 0:45.9 | That's when I realized that even though my shoe size is average in the US, it's just a |
| 0:49.0 | 10 and a half, pretty common, which is, I believe, 44 in European size. |
| 0:53.3 | In Thailand, that's a pretty big size. |
| 0:55.3 | Now, for me, that was just a minor inconvenience. |
| 0:57.4 | I didn't need those shoes. |
| 0:59.0 | A week later, I was back in the States where I could go into any shoe store. |
| 1:02.4 | There would be plenty of options. |
