Hey everybody it's Ron Baim with the Hunting Dog podcast. It is what is it? It's

Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers. This is a tribute podcast

because of this gentleman John Mercer Patton better known as Jack Patton

died at 101 and a half years old recently and I got the pleasure of meeting him in

his early 90s I got to dove hunt with him when he was 94 he had to use a

lawn chair but he didn't miss a lot of birds the man smoked about eight

swisher sweet big cigars a day and he's just one of my heroes and he was a

hero he flew in World War II Korea and Vietnam and here is a episode that I

did at my friend Ship Parking's house with Colonel Patton but we have to
