But y'all it's such a serious news week that before we get started I really just wanted to do something completely other end of the spectrum.

You know it's almost Halloween. I have not bought my Halloween candy yet but I need to go out and get that early this week.

I love the holiday. We live in one of those neighborhoods where kids come from all over because it's sort of flat and easy to get around in.

And especially after the pandemic years I'm really looking forward to it and has me thinking about Halloween costumes that I've worn over the years and some that I've made.

And I'm wondering what your favorite Halloween costumes are. Barb what do you think?

Oh man that's a good one. I did hear of a student this year who is going as Mabel Morrah from only murders in the building.

I'm really happy. I think that's a cool one. I'm thinking of my kids when they were young Halloween was so fun with them.

I guess one of my favorite times was my son Mac when he was in kindergarten. That's when the movie Lilo and Stitch was popular.

And he asked me if he could be Stitch for Halloween. And I thought oh my gosh Stitch are you kidding me. That's the most complicated costume ever.

Really you don't want to just be like a ghost or something. So I said let me see what I can do. Let me work on it.

He's like well maybe you could make it. Let me see what I can do. So I went online and I saw that the Disney store for an exorbitant price made a Stitch costume.

So I ordered it but you know you're never sure if it's actually going to make it on time. So I ordered it and then he would ask about it every day.

What do you think are you going to be able to pull off a Stitch costume for me? I'm working on it. Let me see what I can do. I'm working on it.

So every day I would say that I'm working on it and then sure enough it shows up but not until Halloween and I say here you go. Here is your Stitch costume.
