This is episode 100. I'm Brand Levy.

So a hundred episodes. That's a fun milestone. Who would have fought when we started

this podcast some three and a half years ago that will get to a hundred episodes let alone

with tens of thousands of listeners who enjoy the stories we bring you every other week.

So me and the team were thinking about what kind of episode

we should do to celebrate this happy milestone. We already did a kind of quote-unquote behind the scenes episode and I'm personally not in favor of best of episodes, but making a regular episode kind of seems a bit lame, so we've got something a bit different for you this time.

Every episode of malicious life starts with tens of hours of deep research into the topic we're

covering. In almost every case, this research uncovers many interesting stories and anecdotes, and then there's the really hard part of

deciding what makes the cut and what stories are left out of the episode.

Usually a story will be left out not because it's not good or not

interesting but because an episode can only be that long and you can't tell everything in 45 to 60 minutes or even in a two-part episode.

Lots of great stories are left on the cutting room's floor so to speak and so for this

special episode we figured we'll tell some of them just a second let me put on my

IRA Glass hat.

Brian Kemp the Republican Secretary of State but mismanagement of elections is not something unique to the

Republican Party as the following story will demonstrate.
