His name is Darryl Stenson and he's going to talk about a new way to view rejection.

Did you know, we talk about this a lot in Money Money Academy.

Did you know that the part of your brain that registers physical pain,

also registers and feels social pain.

So when someone says like that hurt my feelings, they really feel pain.

You really feel pain when somebody hurts your feeling lights up your brain and you're wired that way.

It's like an evolutionary thing because we're here to survive, tribe and thrive.

But that tribal part is so important because that's our protection.

That's our safety. That's our security. That's our survival.

And so when we are rejected socially, the brain freaks out and it goes, oh my gosh, I'm about to get kicked out of the tribe.

And really, if I had to do a list of things that are blocking people from the abundance that they want in their lives,

I would say number one or two is social pain.

People do not want to feel social pain.

1:51.0

We would rather avoid pain than move towards pleasure.

And that's why the community aspect of Money Money Academy is so important because if you continue to spend time with people who are always trying to pull you down, you will never come up.

And that's why you got to move toward people and spend time with people who support you.
