We began our focus on the war in Ukraine in August 2022 and today, incredibly, is our 100th episode

on this tragic conflict. As well as bringing you all the latest news today,

The big news from the front line is that Russia continues its hugely costly and hard to

understand attack to capture the town of Avdi Ivka near Donets City. It's already lost so many men and

armoured vehicles in the attack that as at Bachmut earlier this year, it's had to resort to

using expendable troops, in this case Storm Z units made up of convicts and regular soldiers

assigned as punishment. In the opinion of British intelligence

analysts, Russia now has, quote, extreme difficulty in generating combat infantry capable of
