Hey everyone and welcome back to Big Mad True Crime where we get Big Mad over True Crime.

I'm your host Heather Ashley and today's case is out of Darlington, Indiana.

I'm recovering from a summer cold so forgive me if my voice is a little off today, but alas small talk sucks so let's dive in.

Brandy Zell and Jason Worley were the kind of couple that made sense to everyone.

They dated for a hot minute in their 20s and by 2007 they were engaged.

Their engagement wasn't one of those rushes to the altar. They took their time, plan their wedding, and in August of 2009 they were officially Mr. and Mrs. Worley.

Just in time too because a month later Brandy and Jason welcomed their first child into the world Tyler.

Tyler gave them a bit of a scare in the beginning because he wasn't due for another 10 weeks, but he made it through and Brandy and Jason made it through as well.

The journal in Courier says that it was at that moment the couple decided no matter what their children and their future children would always come first before each other and even before their marriage.

After Tyler was released from the hospital the two decided that Brandy would leave her job and become a stay at home mom while Jason supported the family as a software engineer.

He worked long and hard hours, but by 2013 they were able to buy a quaint little three bedroom house in Darlington.

We've talked about small towns before, but this small town makes all other small towns look like Los Angeles.

It has a staggering population of around 850 people and it's so small that they don't even measure it in square miles.

It's measured in acres, but they were down for the small town life and the small town life seemed to suit them well.

Everyone knew everyone the neighbors looked out for one another and more than a town it felt like a family, which was great because they were about to add to theirs.
