This is a trade deadline.

This is also the 100th thinking basketball Podcast, and at one point in time, I was like,

I should do something really fun for the 100th podcast, but it just so happens to fall on the

trade deadline. And we have had some quick text exchanges and we just

realized we need to have a show I've been up since 4.30 in the morning, but instead of caffeine, I am running on trade deadline juice.

How are you doing?

Absolutely. We decided to give the people today this emergency pod instead of our planned breakdown at the top 100 players of all time.

That was going to be like eight hours long.

We were going to wake up, we were going to live stream half of it, we were going to have guests

on, but we thought this is probably the more appropriate thing. Oh, absolutely.

This is what they asked for, explicitly.

They said, don't do the top hundred players of all time thing

where you're going to go through NBA history

in excruciating detail with all the video synced up and watch

alongs and things like that. They said what we need instead is your unhinged

opinions and hot takes about the trade deadlines that have gone down, oh, as of recording this about three and a half hours ago.

Yeah, exactly. And they were like, you know, there's no one else that's going to record a podcast about any of these

trades so we need we need you to jump on today to get this recording out there.
