I just got back from the UK where I did some fun media stuff. I saw my sister, I saw my mom.

You know the jet lag feeling that you get me up really early. I like to milk that for as long as I can. But anyway, I digress

from the content of today's episode, which is actually about a show that I watched on the plane

on the way home.

It's a show called a 100 foot wave,

and I think it's on Netflix.

I've seen it before, but on a plane,

I think you check out things

that you wouldn't necessarily check out at home.

And oh my gosh, I am terrified of big waves.

I think my worst nightmare would be to be like lost at sea.

I mean, I hate, I won't even lose my footing at the beach. I have to like just go at a place where I'm really comfortable and not too high because oh my gosh I'm going to get sucked out there right into an abyss of nothingness in the ocean. No, thank you. This show, a 100 foot wave, is about these

champion surfers in the world.

They have won records, they fund their lives by sponsorships, chasing huge waves, checking

out swells, going from Hawaii to Indonesia to Nazare in Portugal.

It's fascinating. I have to say,

I love observing anybody who is at the top of their game in anything

because I love observing their mental discipline. I love observing how they talk to themselves, how they talk to

themselves, how they talk to each other, how they stay inspired, how they practice, how they prepare for going out there and doing what it is that

they do best.

And watching this show 100 foot wave, I'm pretty sure it's just three three episodes

...
