If you talk to Speaker Johnson or Leader Thune in the Senate, they're very aware of the need to push to make Trump's agenda real and to make it permanent and to make it effectual.

Because the executive branch of government, the presidency and all of the administrative departments underneath it, were never intended to legislate. We're never intended to reflect the will of the people at the

level that the people apparently want. And so Congress is needed for this.

Well, when it comes to the number 100, we're a bit obsessed.

Think 100 cents to the dollar, 100 years of the century, and the fastest people on

earth are timed over how fast they can run 100 meters.

And for better or for worse, we've come to measure the first 100 days of a president's term as a bellwether of how things are going. And the first

100 days of President Donald's Trump's second term ended April 29th, 2025.

And as first 100 days of presidential terms go, these past three months have seen significant changes.

From the cosmetic, like changing the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, to the controversial

on again, off again tariffs, the media has been barely able to keep up.

But two men who have been keeping up with the goings on of the now not so new administration

are my colleagues Matt Carpenter and Kena Gonzalez,

who are here with me today to talk us through Trump 2.0's first 100 days.
