but there's a certain level of guilt that comes with critiquing pro wrestling in particular.

Take Shinsky Nakamura, that this constant traveler who physically

harms his own body for entertainment purposes is considered lazy, is a near sadistic

take, but you don't feel guilty about criticizing him because he probably doesn't give a damn.

The man came to Florida to surf.

Now the real guilt occurs when the performers are invested and take it personally, but even then, constructive criticism is all part of that,

and hey, perhaps Nakamura will make like the people I'm about to talk about and bounce back.

They're certainly precedent for it. I'm Andy for what culture wrestling and here are

ten wrestlers who became amazing after heavy criticism. Number 10, Kenny omega. In 2019 they said Kenny Omega wasn't a star anymore.

They said that he hadn't made the transition into episodic TV,

that he couldn't cut promos, couldn't sell people on his matches, and couldn't project charisma.

He couldn't replicate those 40-minute New Japan epics in a two-hour TV show with commercial breaks,

and, as a result, he was overtaken in the best in the world conversation.

But guess what? Those takes were wide of the mark.

Omega has been nothing short of exceptional in 2020, working outstanding tag team bangers with

Hangman Page on a near weekly basis, all while playing an important role as the man in the

middle between his drunken stablemate and the rest of the elite.

This has brought something else back into focus as well.
