0:00.0	Hey, everybody. What's going on Rob Sustino and I'm back with another edition of Survivor
0:05.4	Burning Quest Gin and I really appreciate all of the amazing feedback that I've gotten
0:11.2	about this series. It's been really, really fun for me to go and get into the weeds talking
0:16.8	some survivor with you every week. And so I think this is going to be a really fun one
0:21.8	today after this week's episode because this week on Survivor, we saw Matt go from a pretty
0:26.8	comfortable position in the game to being voted out in the latest version of the split
0:32.2	tribe twist. Now Matt clearly had not played a perfect game, but the survivor gods threw
0:38.6	him a curveball and placed him in a very bad spot. Matt and Brandon had a conversation in
0:44.3	this episode that I feel like really captures the essence of survivor. Matt talked about
0:50.6	his situation with Brandon and Jake.
0:53.6	He wanted to believe that the person who's like the best at survivor does the best and
1:00.6	that's not always right.
1:01.7	Now while I think Matt makes really interesting observation about the nature of the game,
1:07.4	maybe this wasn't the ideal audience for this conversation because it kind of implies
1:11.4	that he's playing the best and the people that are going to advance specifically the people
1:15.3	he's talking to are not playing the best, but Brandon says something that I think is super
1:20.0	interesting to discuss.
1:29.2	And this is something that has been debated for years on reality TV, Big Brother Legend,
1:34.3	Dan Geesling, who once turned a very bleak situation around with Dan's funeral has said
1:40.8	there's always a way out. I asked Matt about this during my exit interview if he thought
1:47.4	Brandon was right or wrong.
1:50.6	You like to think that the best player always wins and you know, you like to think that.
