Let's be honest, the build to the first Fabidon Door was dire.

And it was also cursed.

Punk versus Tanahashi and Danielson versus ZSJ were scrapped through injury.

There were few personal issues heading into Fabidon Door,

and somehow even fewer instances in which the representatives of each promotion

were fueled by a desire to prove that their home was the premier destination for professional wrestling.

And yet, the pay-per-view itself was...

...mah, magnificent.
