The Most Overhyped Segment in WWE History

A perennial fixture on any piece of WWE produced content referencing the Monday Night

Wars is this segment from Raw's 27th of April 1998 episode in which degeneration X invaded

WCW Nitro in their tank.

But here's the thing about that, it wasn't a tank, and they accomplished nothing.

Simple.

A bunch of grown adults turned up in a sh**ty little jeep made some noise and got turned

away, the door was literally closed on them.

No more rebellious than the gang of drunk students being refused entry to a nightclub on

Freshers Week, it is nonetheless celebrated as a rogue act of wrestling rebellion.

Triple H himself has since claimed that WCW were so freaked out they called the local police

claiming they were under attack from a militia group.

Didn't happen that, did it mate, and Vince Russo described the segment himself as an

all-out assault, really the all-out assault would have been what would have gone down

had DX gotten into the building and ran into Ming.
