Brighters have to be flexible.

The one sure thing about writing is that nothing ever turns out exactly as you think it was.

I was pretty darn positive that I was going to be able to stand finished on my first draft of the deepest breath this week.

I wrote the final chapter and had my fingers hovering over the keyboard ready to type the end,

but I could just tell something wasn't quite right.

I always know when a story is wrong.

I don't always know when it's right, but I always have a dark, twitchie, not quite right feeling when something's amiss.

I had that feeling about my final chapter.

It's a chapter I'd been planning since early in the outlining stages, but now that I'd

actually written it, I could tell it was all wrong.

There's probably no part of a story more difficult to Chuck than the final chapter.

You want so bad to be finished so you can print off that proud finished product and start polishing.

But chakit I did.

I hit the brainstorming barn again, figured out my problem, and sketched a quick outline for

a new scene.

I haven't had a chance to write it yet, but I've got my fingers

cross that this one will do the trick. Is your character a win bag? The latest post in the video
