Welcome to the weekend edition of the Daily Dad podcast, where on the weekends, we do a deeper dive

and how to get better at our most important job, being a parent. Sometimes in these episodes,

I talk to best-selling authors and elite performers and other guests, but lately I've also

been having conversations with my wife, Samantha, the co-parent of my two

boys. We do it over in the Daily Stoic studio here in Bastrop, Texas. She and I talk about things

that we're working on as parents, things that we're working on as people, and how we are supporting

each other, challenging each other, and like I said, trying to get better at what we do.

We've got a bunch of trips planned this summer.

We're going to go away for a bit.

The problem when you go away, you don't have child care.

And you've got to keep your kids occupied and you don't want them on screens all day.

And one of the things we do, especially when we're traveling with the grandparents,

is we bring along Kiwi kits, and then they

do them with us, or they do them with the grandparents, and we drop them off for the day. We know that

they're being stimulated, they're being challenged, they're having fun. Some of my fondest memories

are things that I did with my grandfather when my parents dropped me off. And we're especially

excited about their new summer adventure series.
