Welcome to our Wednesday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm nearing the end of my second week talking about 10 reasons it's better to have the Holy Spirit.

This is talking about it's better to have the Holy Spirit in us than it would be to have Jesus in his physical body with us.

And Jesus is the one who said this in John chapter 16 verse 7. He says,

Nevertheless, I tell you the truth. It's expedient for you that I go away because if I don't go away, I will not send the comforter unto you.

But if I go away, I will send the comforter unto you.

And so Jesus Himself said it's actually to your benefit. It's to our benefit to have the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Why is that?

Well, the first thing I talked about is because Jesus in his physical body was limited to be in one place at one time.

He inhabits every person who receives him as their Savior.

He literally lives on the inside of us and he'll never leave us nor forsake us.

The second thing we talked about is that we get born of the Spirit of God.

And that means that he changes our nature.

Prior to Jesus being resurrected and going back to the Father, people had a fallen human nature.

And they could go against it and they could modify their behavior, but they still were by nature a fallen human being.

But when you get born again, you become a new creature in Christ.

And the rest of the Christian life is releasing this new nature that you had put on inside of you.

Man, that is tremendous. We talked about Christ in us, the hope of glory.
