0:09.0	I'm going to talk about four I think, challenges to the cross serious challenges
0:13.0	demonizing the cross actually that I've heard from people who say they're Christians as well as non-believers

0:38.4	reasons, but one of them is this. The Apostles, his closest followers, ran from Jesus, fled from Jesus, denied in many cases even knowing him like Peter, tried to hide themselves. They were not willing to die with him truly at that moment even though they had said they would be.
0:56.1	They wanted victory, they didn't want to see a suffering savior. And this is
1:01.6	this is historically strongly supported even for those who don't believe the Bible is the word of God.
1:07.0	They look at this and they go, you know, historians will go, you know, this seems very likely true.
1:11.0	Even us who are going to sort of chop the Bible up into parts
1:13.4	we trust and don't trust we're going to go this part's pretty legit because

1:42.2	Jesus was was going to be the end of the Jesus movement, but those same disciples were willing to die for Jesus, suffer for Jesus greatly because they confidently believed in his
1:55.2	resurrection. They saw, according to their ideas in their head, even if you're not a
1:59.4	Christian, you can affirm this, they believed that they saw Christ risen from the dead and
2:04.0	they're not the kind of people to just throw their lives away on on promises
2:07.4	they haven't seen fulfilled because they fled from Christ they denied Jesus
