Summary
Host Ian Hartitz is joined by PFF_Mike for 10 questions mostly related to the upcoming NFL draft. The guys start off by looking at whether or not Trey Lance and Zach Wilson can serve as viable fantasy starters in 2021. Next Ian asks if either of Kellen Mond or Davis Mills are worth being intrigued about. Mike would sign up to give Javonte Williams a monster role before Najee Harris or Travis Etienne, and he's also not counting out Trey Sermon's potential to carve out a large workload sooner rather than later. Conversation continues with a look at Terrance Marshall's rise up draft boards, which WR Mike would love for the Packers to take at No. 29, and whether or not Kyle Pitts is deserving of his immense year one hype. The guys close things out with discussion on which fictional character would have received the highest PFF grade as well as Mike's favorite Golden Tate moment.

| 0:00.0 | Hello, welcome to PFF Fancy football podcast. I'm your host, Ian Hartitz. And today we continue our trek towards the draft people three more short weeks until we have these rosters about finalizes we're going to get ahead the 2021 season. |
| 0:21.0 | You're excited, you know, no except no AF to kind of shave away some of these days or in the year. So, you know, this recorded old football all the way from past fall is the best we got at the moment. So in our continued lead up to the draft. I have another very special guest on the helpless get better accustomed with this flock of rookies about to enter the NFL. He is the lead draft analyst at PFF co host of two for one drafts. |
| 0:41.0 | You already know the man Mike runner, you can find on Twitter at PFF underscore Mike, Mike happy draft season and you're saying before the show your fifth podcast the day, man, you are quite a busy man during this time of the year. |
| 0:52.0 | This podcast day I'm not done yet. I got another one tonight. So it's busy, but honestly wouldn't have it any other way. April is the best month of the year in my opinion. |
| 1:01.0 | Man, it's one of the things where you just had even a little little taste of the real world, which I know you have and I've had to anytime that you can just get away with the day talking about football watching football right and about whatever might be certainly could be a lot worse. So per usual with this format, I'm going to ask Mike 10 questions mostly related to the drafts few wild cards here and there and let's get after man. So Mike, how to article go out this week. |
| 1:22.0 | I also got the most fancy friendly QBs just our projected rush of time standpoint and man, Tray Lance stands out our PFF pro comp for him is pretty hilariously. |
| 1:31.0 | Taseham Hill with legit arm talent. We don't know where he's going to go, but just in terms of kind of way he plays. Do you think Lance is capable of providing that Taseham S production center just being a guy that is going to take off and run double digit times almost every game. |
| 1:45.0 | 100% and I think that's his best usage at the NFL level. I think it could be crazy not to take advantage of it. The thing is though, it's like, will that be this year because look at his projected or even feasible landing spots at Lanna. |
| 1:59.0 | He's not going to be the star there. It's Carolina. He's not going to be the star there. Detroit not going to be the star there. Denver, New England. He's not starting year one. Any of those landing spots and that's that's kind of it. That's where he would go. |
| 2:10.0 | So in my opinion, he would not necessarily be a play for obviously draft after this year, but in the future, I think to the rest of his rookie contract, wherever he goes, you can expect some big rushing numbers from them. |
| 2:22.0 | Certainly does seem like the raw sky out there. How concerned are you with his kind of ability to become more of a pure pastor? We know we're getting from him as a rusher, but is this like a jail and hurts type situation where we're kind of a little too worried about it. |
| 2:35.0 | He's always got a bazooka for a right arm. So I guess how concerned are you with his ability to develop in the more of you know, just the pocket pass or everybody wants these quarterbacks to be. |
| 2:44.0 | Yeah, I do like the jail and hurts sort of worries from from perspective of it's like the ball placement is just not where you want to be now. He's also last time we saw him. I guess we saw him one game this past fall, but like it was a red shirt freshman year compared to jail and hurts senior year. |
| 3:02.0 | But jail and hurts just didn't have the arm strength that you ever thought, oh, you know, I think just real in a little bit, he can expand the field so much that the windows just they get bigger down the football field you're throwing into when you have a cannon for an arm. |
| 3:15.0 | You don't have to be pinpoint when you're throwing it 40 yards down field oftentimes you're throwing to larger windows guys adjust to the football for you. So I do think that in time he'll get there or like will develop there's actual things wrong like mechanically that are inconsistent. |
| 3:31.0 | That they know quarterback coach will work with and get him more consistent that you'll see an uptick in his accuracy for sure. |
| 3:38.0 | But yeah, he is at a level where it's like it's still concerning it's still going to hamper him and still amount of guy you want through the walls year one. |
| 3:44.0 | Yeah, look people he's not going to be Trevor Lawrence from day one he's a different player and fancy football we don't really care as long as he keeps on the ball like he did not go to state that is just fine for us. |
| 3:54.0 | Staying on the quarterback topics so look we can pencil into any mock draft at this point Trevor Lawrence to Jaguar is at one Zach Wilson and Jets a two I think we all get that now in the fancy world with our average draft positions already Lawrence is kind of already being price as the cubic 15 cubic 16 right in that cubic two range. |
| 4:11.0 | Whereas Zach Wilson much more closer to the bottom of the barrel i'm sure that'll start to move up a little bit now that Donald's been traded and people can really see that he's there but do you think that will send his jets offense can make some noise as early as 2021 or could you see this really being ugly until they get some more pieces around him. |
| 4:27.0 | I'm sure it's going to be ugly it's just one record of acts it's rare to hit the ground running to it's a big step up from what you know the competition level from BYU to the NFL. |
| 4:38.0 | And then three they still kind of have a middling group of wide receiver tell their like denser you're relying on densel mims to be your wide receiver one there. |
