December 15th. Tonight we start with protests outside the Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv

where several dozen people are demanding immediate action to bring home the

remaining hostages held by Hamas.

Families of hostages organized the protest

after Israel's military accidentally shot and killed three Israeli hostages in Gaza.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the incident a quote unbearable

tragedy and vowed to continue the effort to return all hostages.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan met with Netanyahu

Thursday and spoke to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas today.

The White House says they discussed efforts to protect Gaza civilians and get more humanitarian

aid into the region. People in Gaza are facing starvation, disease, and chilling temperatures

with nowhere safe to go. Israel said it will now

allow aid from Egypt to cross directly into Gaza from Israel for the first time

since the war began. Al Jazeera says one of its journalists has died after being injured during an Israeli strike in Han Yunus in southern Gaza.

The cutter-based network says Samarabudaqah died from his wounds and that he bled for hours before medical personnel could reach him

due to heavy shelling in the city. Al Jazeera says one of its correspondence was also

injured. On Thursday the Israeli military warned people in Han Yunus to flee to avoid Israel's

offensive against Hamas.

Separately, the U.S. rebuked Israel's military for repeatedly attacking the U.S.

backed Lebanese army to the north over the past two months. In response, an Israeli

military spokesperson said, quote, any harm to civilians and other forces is unintentional
