Hello from CNN. I'm Afomadikay with the five things you need to know for Tuesday

October 17th. President Joe Biden will no longer go to Jordan after his visit to

Israel on Wednesday. He was originally supposed to meet with

the leaders of Jordan, Egypt, and the Palestinian Authority. But after the deadly

blast at the Al-Aghli Baptist Hospital in Gaza, the Palestinian Authority

president pulled out and Jordan ultimately

canceled the whole summit. The Palestinian Health Ministry said hundreds died in the blast,

while many are still believed to be under the rubble. Gaza officials blame Israel for the hospital blast,

while Israel's military says it was a failed Islamic Jihad rocket launch.

Anti-Israel protests took place in Iran, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, and Iraq today in response.

Biden said he is outraged and deeply saddened by the explosion, but didn't weigh in on who he believes is responsible.

An Israeli official and another source familiar with the matter say they've shared information

about the blast with the U.S.

Israeli military spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan K Canricus explains what that entails

both footage of the event from above from an Israeli U. A.B and very tellingly and a conversation between Hamas terrorists which was

intercepted by us where they discuss the fact that oh there appears to have been a malfunction or an explosion by a

rocket which landed short inside the Gaza Strip. But here was the general

This was an air strike. It was a deliberate war crime that Israel conducted on this hospital.

When pressed, he offered no evidence to back that claim.
