October 12th. The Palestinian Health Ministry says more than 1500 people have been

killed in Gaza since Israel launched strikes there

following Hamas's deadly attack Saturday. That death toll includes women and

children. Hamas's attack has killed more than 1,200 people in Israel.

The Israeli military has been targeting Hamas militants in Gaza,

which is under the terror group's control.

However, more than 330,000 people there have been displaced,

according to the UN. The people there are at risk

of starvation and now Hamas is appealing for aid. The US is working with Egypt and

Israel to open a humanitarian corridor from Gaza.

The U.S. and Qatar have reached a quote,

quiet understanding, not to give Iran access to $6 billion in frozen funds.

That's what the Deputy Treasury Secretary told House Democrats in a meeting on Thursday,

according to a source in the room.

The money was part of a deal to free five Americans, the U.S. deemed, had been wrongfully

detained in Iran.

The funds were transferred to Katari accounts last month as part of the

agreement. The U.S. has intelligence that suggests senior Iranian government officials were caught

off guard by Hamas's terror attack Saturday. That's according to multiple sources familiar with

the intelligence. As a result, sources say doubt has been cast on the idea that Iran was directly
