The week 13 waiver wire is quietly loaded with a bunch of different names at different positions who saw bigger roles this past week. So in this video, we're going to break down the 10 players who can actually help you before your fantasy playoffs and improve your roster and this might be one of your last chances to do so. And let's start with the Titans rookie wide receiver fourth round picture. This is a player who in week 12 against the Seattle Seahawks defense that is arguably the best

0:21.3

defense in the entire NFL he put up another strong performance now this was very encouraging

0:26.3

because coming into this game shemir deke he was going into it with just so much opportunity

0:31.1

Calvin ridley done for the season elika imuner out for this game potentially going to miss more time

0:35.1

we know a couple of weeks ago they released Tyler Lockett, who since then has somehow been

0:38.7

the leading receiver of the Las Vegas Raiders, but it was basically just Chimier Deak out here. He was good before his injury, dating back to week seven, and he came back out in week 12 and looked good once again in a tough matchup. Because Deke went out there and he led all the wide receivers on the team with five catches, 44 yards, scores a touchdown again.

0:54.6

And for the second time this season,

0:56.7

he had a special team's return touchdown as well. So he gave you a little bit of a boost there. He's now averaging since week seven, 13 fantasy points per game and is a top 24 wide receiver. Now in this game in week 12, Deak was coming back from his own injury. He got banged up towards the end of last week, and he basically played a full-time role. 90% of the routes got the 19% target share. Gunner Helm, another rookie, a tight end out of Texas. He actually ended up seeing a good amount of targets as well. But in this game, there's really no other competition. Xavier Restrepo, who was really not active for any games this year, undrafted free agent, played with his quarterback handboard in Miami last year, had like 1,100 yards. He was active for this game because that's where they're at at wide receivers right now, dealing with so many injuries and players being cut. So basically no competition here. James Proche was like a special team's player for the Ravens back in the day, Van Jefferson, a Journeyman wide receiver. I bring up all these names because moving forward, even if Elic Eimanor was to return from this hamstring injury in another week or two or three weeks, he hasn't been the greatest as a late round rookie. It's like Chabir Deek, somewhat the tight ends, and that's it in this passing attack. And what also matters and what also helps is that Cam Ward continues to look really good. Like this is the game. This is the Cam Ward game against an

2:01.3

amazing Seattle Seahawks secondary and defense that you point to for your new head coaching

2:05.7

candidate next year and be like, we have a guy at quarterback. Because if this situation just

2:09.6

gets a little bit better, it is literally the Stone Wars situation with coaches being fired and just

2:14.1

your playmakers all getting hurt and really never having playmakers to begin with. He completes 28 of 42 passes, 256 yards in this game. He actually looks good. He looks mobile. Six carries for 37 yards. Unfortunately, leads the team as well. They didn't get any help from their running game. That's been the case all year long with their running backs in this game, combining for just 1.5 yards per carry. But KMore looked good. If that continues down the stretch in softer matchups and what we just saw in Seattle, you should be seeing some more good Shamir-Dek performances. So this fourth round rookie is like surprisingly the guy that I did not expect out of all the rookies to at this point in the season be somebody that I think, yeah, week in a week out, he could be a flex option for you. He has the upside of being a top 24 wide receiver at the position like we've seen since week eight this or week seven this is a guy who's only 14% rostered as of this recording meaning that he's available in the far majority of fantasy leagues and should at least be on your benches or stash for the fantasy postseason the next situation we have to talk about takes us to the saints because alvin kamara left left on Sunday with a knee injury and he did not return to the game, which allowed, which allowed Devin Neal, the six-round rookie running back to take over and be the only other running back in this game to command opportunities out of the backfield. Kendrae Miller is done for the season. Kamara left this game with injury. As of right now, there's really nobody else to point to other than Devin Neal. And that's exactly what we saw in this game. Devin Neal saw seven carries for 18 yards, nothing crazy, but in terms of other players to see carries, it was just Alvin Kamara, three carries before his injury. And then we saw Tayson Hill. Taysim Hill had 10 carries. It was mostly, though, as like a wildcat, right? He was playing quarterback,

3:45.2

these gadgety type plays, not a traditional running back. We know Taysam Hill is not a traditional running back like Devin'Neal. Now, you're one concern with Taysam Hill. He does muck things up if Alvin Kamara was to miss time and it seems like he will miss time for Devin'Neal because Taysam Hill is often involved in the red zone like we saw this past week, according to Ryan Heath.

3:56.3

He says that the backfield after Kamara left, Taysam Hill had eight carries, including all three inside the 10-yard line. Devin Neal saw seven carries, but more importantly, and this is the thing to talk about, he saw seven targets in this game, an 18% target share from Tyler Shuck. Tyler Shuck, since taking over, we saw it in the past game or two with Alvin Kamara. Kamara was getting more activated as well as a past catcher compared to when Spencer Rattler was the quarterback. Now, at the running back position specifically, only Devonil was the only other running back again if we're considering Taysom Hill as a tight end or a quarterback hybrid, right? The only other running back to earn a snap. He played 73% of the snaps in this game, 100% of the backfield snaps in terms of RB snaps once Kamar left. Same for the opportunities in this one. So it is interesting because

4:33.7

Kamar is same for the

4:31.3

opportunities in this one so it is interesting because kamara is dealing with it and it has now

4:35.4

been confirmed a right MCL sprain out a minimum of one to two weeks is what dr jessie

4:40.8

morris says on there if it's closer to a grade two sprain unfortunately this could be a four to

4:44.6

six week injury and end his regular season so at least at least probably one to two weeks is what you're getting out for Kamara here. So this is a good situation for Devonil because the Saints have a nice schedule heading into the postseason. We pull up that schedule right here. A matchup against the Dolphins, they allow the fourth most rushing yards per game. A matchup against a Bucks team that just doesn't look all that great right now. and then heading into the fantasy postseason, you get the Panthers, solid matchup, Jets at home, great matchup. And then the Titans as well, solid matchup in a game where the Saints could actually play with a lead in maybe all three of these final games, which will help the backfield like a Devonil. So whether it's one or two games, four to six games, Devoniel for Alvin Camar are missing. Devinio needs to be

5:21.0

rostered. And so does Chris Rodriguez, because when these players go on their by like the commanders were in week 12, we often can forget about the fact of what they did in week 11. This is a very, what have you done late for me lately sport, a very recency bias sport. We just forget what happened two weeks ago, but just two weeks ago, he was taking over this backfield, Chris Rodriguez. In that game, overseas, 15 carries, 79 yards, maybe some of you slept through it or just didn't care about a disgusting game against the dolphins in an early morning game. But Chris Rodriguez looked good in that game. 45% of the snaps. Jacori-Koski-Mere, just 27%. Jeremy McNichols, just 25%. You saw Chris Rodriguez come out. He had a season high, 53% of the backfield carry share when Chikori Cross Kimerett fell to 32%. His lowest since Austin Echler got injured all the way back in week two against the Packers on Thursday night. Now, what does this mean? It's still not the greatest offense. Who knows if Jaden Daniels even returns this year, even if he is healthy because the team is bad and there's still three running backs involved in the backfield in some capacity. Now all of that is true but I will say if you're not able to pick up Devin Neal, it's very rare that this late in the season you're going to get a guy who has been efficient averaging five yards per touch this year Chris Rodriguez this late in the year in week 13 seeing 15 carries in a backfield, it's rare to be on the waiver wire. And he does have a somewhat interesting schedule in terms of heading into the fantasy postseason.

6:31.2

In the fantasy postseason, he has matchups against the Giants. They allow the second most rushing yards per game. Then a really tough matchup against the Eagles. But in the championship game, the Cowboys, who I will be the first to admit the Cowboys have looked a lot better since making some of the trades that they did, getting Quinn and Williams.

6:43.7

We'll see what his injury looks like, but it's not the worst matchup to have in the championship
