For the majority of my 20s, I was single.

And not single in the, I still go on a lot of dates kind of way, but the, am I going to

be single forever kind of way?

While I wasn't necessarily a product of my environment, my environment was a definitely

stacked against me, living in a small town, dating apps hadn't really taken off yet,

and living a life that probably wasn't all that alluring to the opposite sex.

But even when I was dating, it wasn't all that easy.

I wanted to love it, but I just didn't.

The stress of asking her out, the uncertainty of where we stood, and least of all, the

texting games everyone played that made it nearly impossible to actually get anywhere.
