Paul niece the niece as we call him and he's going to talk to us all about his picks his kit for a 10 day

sheep hunt now oftentimes on the podcast all intro and I'll say you know helping me you know unpack this topic we

are literally going to unpack this topic we can definitely do that yeah this is you know this is this

duplicates a hunt I had about two years ago up on the keyniped insulin Alaska that particular one

was a caribou hunt not a sheep hunt but for all practical purposes we were in sheep country doing

the same thing the one thing I'll say a 10 day solo hunt is pretty ambitious so there's a lot of

stuff in here this is a pretty heavy pack this weighs about 65 pounds total if you were hunting with

the buddy or a you know even two buddies better yet you would be able to take some weight off of this

and we'll cover that as I get into it but for example I can't share a tent in here with anybody else I

can't share a cook stove I can't share cooking gear so you're carrying everything for your camp in

here but it's going to cover it you know you you mark you can take this pack you can throw it on your

back you could hoof out in the hills right behind the building and you could live for 10 days off of

that I might not want to in December right now but I could I could barely get it on the table

but no like you said it's heavy but like you said I mean that's a really good point if you're

hunting with multiple people you're going to be able to split some of those things up and as we

get in here a lot of that weight is food you know the more days spend the more food you got to bring

and it's a big chunk of the volume in there too as people see is that pull everything out of the

inside of that yeah well I guess without further ado let's get started let's tear into this thing

okay let's get going um what I'll do I think I'll work on the outside of it first just because

there's a few things that are obvious I run one belt pouch on the belt on the other side I use a

cathartic gun bearer we'll we'll touch on that later that's where I hang my rifle in the belt
