Welcome back to another episode, a small ball with Kenny Beachum. I am filming this, maybe 12 hours after game three of the NBA finals wrapped up. And here's what I want to say. I'm not going to spend a ton of time on game three to finals because I feel like when you're watching this, we're getting ready for game number four and nobody cares about game number three. And also in the last 12 hours, I've done a TV show. I've done a different podcast. I've done a recap video. I'm kind of, I'm kind of all out of takes about game number three. All I can say is that the paces have been really fun. So fun that I was watching this game. And like I'm in the middle of this game. Actually, it's halftime. I mean, the guys are watching it at the studio together. We're, you know, having a good time and all. And I'm thinking to myself, who are my favorite teams to ever make the finals? Not just the winners of the finals, not just the NBA champions,

but how high does this race this Pacers team rank on my favorite finals ever? So I made a list.

And when I was watching this game, there's a couple different things that was going through my mind.

It also was a big reminder of how little I actually know about basketball in comparison to

like Rick Carlisle or Mark Dayton all.

Because I made my preview episode when I'm like telling you the things that I think the Pacers have to do in order to potentially win this series. You know, it's a long shot, but it could happen if they do this, this, this and this and this. And a lot of the things that I've mentioned in that video, the Pacers haven't been doing. And they're still up to one. I'm thinking to myself, how could this team make an adjustment?

Right?

In my mind, the Denver Nuggets laid some level of blueprint of like, you know, you can

push the OKC Thunder to the brink of ending it all.

If you just run some zone, wait on shooting variance for them to be a bad three-point shooting team, yada, yada,

yada, play that zone, make them other people do certain things. I don't think of Rick Carlisle, he's such a great coach, he's such a smart coach. Back in 2011 when they won a championship, they ran a good amount of zone. He don't really run zone with this Pacers team, but at least he's got experience doing it. So in this series, Rick Carlisle must run some zone.

Nah, I think we've

got like two possessions total in this whole damn series of them running zone. So for them to just

play straight up, or not straight up, but play man coverage against this OKC team and have Shay have
