Gilbert to discuss Maurizio Lazarato's new book, Experimental Politics.

at the University of East London, and he's also the author of Common Ground,

Democracy and Collectivity in an Age of Individualism, which is published by Pluto Press.

He's also currently running a fantastic lecture series called Culture Power Politics, which I

strongly recommend checking out. One of the recent talks was by Muratio Lozirato, who will

be discussing today.

Jeremy wrote the introduction from Maritio's book, and he was also one of the translators.

I began the interview by asking Jeremy how he first became acquainted with Lazarato's work and how he ended up working on the book.

Well, I mean, Lazarato was a kind of pretty widely cited sort of reference point at the moment

when there was a big wave of interest in sort of posts or operismo work in, you know, coming out of the

publication of Empire and then for a few years after that. So I was reading him partly

because of that, but also, he's also, he was connected to the journal Multitudes, the French journal, well, Multitude,

which again was sort of inspired by the kind of publication

of that work of heart and degrees,
