Gentlemen, tomorrow was America's 248th birthday.

Two hundred and 48 years of one of the wildest rides in the history of modern world,

and I know it's become commonplace in our society to highlight our blemishes, magnify the perception of our faults

and basically show the worst of ourselves.

But that is what any great thing would do

to consistently and effectively make itself better

which with each passing year.

We have to be critical of ourselves in order to

improve. I get it. And that is one of the founding beliefs of this nation that we can do better and

we have created better. But once in a while it's good to look back and see what it is that we've accomplished.

Despite popular hyperbole, this is a pretty damn dope country that we live in,

and we made some incredible strides and are the ones that the world can thank for some pretty damn incredible things.
