Today we're going to be looking at some forgotten Lent and traditions you may want to incorporate this year. That's right. A lot of Catholics think that Lent is a hard time of year, giving stuff up. But when you hear these traditions and how people used to do Lent, it's going to feel like a foreign time. And you're going to be really interested in this. So stay tuned if you want to have the best Lent ever. All right. Good timing for this episode. There's good timing. I do. Yeah. I think we're in need of Lent and I think we're in need of an extreme Lent because of our laxidical behavior, Ryan. Yes. Not Father Michael. The Rhyans are bringing the average down. Needed austerity. 100% increasing prayer. Lent always the right time. Yeah. It always comes. I'm like, ah, yes, I need this.

Those who never practiced lent before, you know, the 40 days leading up to Easter, prayer fasting,

almsgiving. So I'm excited to hear about these, these forgotten traditions. I think this is,

this is good for you know my

family we were a convert so we didn't always pick up all the all the catholic nuance you know so you

kind you kind of get the way that your family practice it and then i picked up some other things now as a

priest but uh the history of the church there's a lot of good good uh yeah and like most of the

beginning of the year everybody's like giving something up

you know and then they always usually break down in february or you know now's the time yeah it's like

pick it back up use it for a spiritual good is it weird that lent's my favorite time of year no let's go

i love i i really look forward to lent every year i mean it just seems to me to be the most focused time of year. It's great. You like satcloth? I do. I do. Which we're going to get into. Yeah. We're going to get into sackcloths. Hair shirts. We're going to get the hair shirts. Cabot talk show sackcloth t-shirts. You know, I bet you we can make those.
