Summary

This month, I'm going on 10 Dates in 30 Days. They don't need to be 10 different people, just 10 unique dates. This challenge was inspired by Kenzie Elizabeth (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xG_K2HRxGls) as a way to flex my dating muscle and get comfortable with something I previously (and currently) found tedious and taxing.

Hello, hello everybody. I'm Lexi Lombard, your host of the Lexi Podcast, and happy new year.

0:10.3

I hope you guys had a great holiday season, and your 2026 has been a strong kickoff, a relaxing kickoff, whatever it is that you're looking for.

0:18.3

I hope that's what you see. Now, I have jumped into this

0:21.7

year in two different ways. The first was mid-December I had learned about this ritual. It was so

0:29.2

precious, so adorable. I shared it on Instagram and it goes like this. During the winter solstice,

0:35.4

which is the shortest night of the year, you write down 12

0:38.1

wishes, 12 little slips of paper. They can be anything you want. You fold them up, put them in a

0:42.8

container, draw one without looking, burn it. Next night, draw one without looking, burn it. You do

0:49.3

this for 11 nights. Now all of these burned wishes are up to your ancestors, the ether, the universe, God,

0:56.8

whatever it is you believe in. They're taking care of those. Then Jan 1, you open the one that is left,

1:02.2

you read it, and that one's your responsibility. So I have my 11 wishes that are up to the others

1:10.2

that will hopefully make themselves come to light in their

1:14.3

own way and then I have the one that I read which was clear communication skills and with that

1:21.3

I was thinking what am I not clear about in my relationships as some of you have heard if you

1:27.1

listen to my episode with my

1:28.3

friend Morgan, I'm not the greatest at getting back to text messages. I don't do well in a group

1:33.0

chat. So in this rudimentary way, I need to get clear communication by just keeping up with the messages

1:38.8

that I'm receiving and reading them. It's not even that I'm not responding. It's that I'm not even

1:43.4

reading them. For example, my friend's having a dinner party tonight and she texts me separately and said,

1:48.3

I know you don't read group chats, so I'm texting you separately. Here's the information for dinner tonight.

1:53.9

I said, sounds good. Thank you so much. And that's something I would like to work on.

1:59.4

The second area of communication that I could work on is I will let something slide
