A few weeks ago, a listener known as Joanie sent us a piece of information that had our minds racing.

It was a personal ad placed in a newspaper on December 10th, 1994, for a man seeking a relationship.

The newspaper in question was Le Currier, Australian, a bilingual French English publication based in Sydney, providing local and international news.

It's perhaps the longest running foreign language newspaper in Australia, and while the print version no longer exists it's still available online.

Unsurprisingly the ad itself was written in French.
