Israel is encouraging people in Central Gaza to evacuate, as it expands its military operations.

But the head of the UN Agency for Palestinian refugees is criticizing the order, saying, quote, no place is safe for people to go.

The move will impact more than 150,000 people, many who have already been displaced.

And today the UN Secretary General Antonio Gutierrez

said most of the UN staff in Gaza

have also been forced from their homes.

When 36 of all colleagues in Gaza have been killed in 75 days,

something we have never seen in the history of the United Nations,

nowhere is safe in Gaza.

On Friday, the UN Security Council approved a resolution that calls for humanitarian

pauses between Israel and Hamas, more humanitarian aid to Gaza, and conditions that will allow for the

fighting to stop.

The US and Russia abstained from the vote.

But aid agencies such as Doctors Without Borders are criticizing the measure for not calling for an immediate and sustained

ceasefire.

A federal judge has ruled that a Massachusetts ban on certain assault weapons is constitutional.
